Get The 3 Master-Claws For Facebook!

Trying so much to have more of the benefits of using social media networking sites, but receiving very little of what is expected in return? It is natural to get upset particularly after putting a lot of work into the process.

Growth of individual or corporate enterprises that is evident recently in developing nations including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Namibia, is no means a 'fluke'. Adding viable options to a conceptual development has been the very core feature of social media.
But how many of us really have been able to tap-into the virtually free 'jackpot' for which social networking platforms represent?

Let us refresh our minds to some descent indicators for an effective use of one of such social sites, for instance Facebook. Checkout the 3 Master-Claws to help get the fascinating experience on Facebook:

* Claw #1: PURPOSE

Corporate companies or enterprises find solace to expanding their objective online via facebook more suitably than other SM platforms. Why? Simple. It gives their profiles a required purpose to plan ahead.
However same notion cannot be ascribed to individuals who most times chat endlessly without the slightest pinch of purpose. It's in your best interest to find out, why are you really using facebook - wasteful chats or building a profile?

* Claw #2: VALUE

Whether it is fun, exciting, serious, or however way you would want to describe a situation, so long it bringsforth a significant level of value - it is safe.
As an entrepreneur, there should be some kind of incentives that attract people to what you do or offer. Even if you can chat very well, think of it, are you inspiring anyone with your chats or just for the fun of it?

* Claw #3: BRAND

Combining Claws 1 & 2, then you need to find out about Claw #3. This brings us to a feature that reflects you as an individual or your company ready to take on the challenge of connecting with other colleagues or competitors or allies.
Whatever the goal or objective is, be rest assured there's always somebody somewhere that has huge interest in what you do or offer (since it has value). And for it to be adequately developed to standards, you need to appropraite presentation - this process is called Branding.

Take very good note of the 3 highlighted claws and have a good grip on utilizing facebook. Reflect on them and see how you could apply each one to facilitate more viable interactions.

Let's use this medium to invite you to this year's last edition of the monthly series tagged #SocialMediaPlus - an interactive gathering that offers you more practical options of social media.
Join us on Saturday Dec.4 in Lagos Nigeria for the inspiring edition.

REVEALING POLL: Insensitive Online Exploits of Students of THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN!

This piece is devoid of bias nor sentiments, but reflects on fundamental options necessary for development in the tertiary sector of education. Taken a case between The Polytechnic Ibadan and Univsity of Ibadan.

Some observers have tilted towards the notion that the average Nigerian university is literarily better than the Polytechnic school. Though many others have widely recognized progressive indicators in recent times in major polytechnics in the country and are now convinced the Polytechnic is fast overtaking the interests in the long term.
Indicators such as Discipline, Course Orientation, Practical Knowledge Application, Administrative Balance, Students' Union Stability - are considered in this context for easy comprehension.

By wide marginal points and public opinions accrued recently by indigenous professors residing in Ibadan, THE POLYTECHNIC IBADAN is better placed than the UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN. Students of the latter (UI) are dilusioned to think the school still holds the ace in resource management; but it's being revealed via the students' ranks that the tag "first and the best" is merely a self-acclaimed tag and nothing more.

No thanks to social media, the level of Intelligence Ratio (IR) is fast diminishing among students of the University of Ibadan while it's Students' Union for the past 3 years has greatly been involved in sentimental ideologies causing wide conflicting commitment among its executive members.

Traditionally, The Polytechnic Ibadan is known for its visible career orientation and viability of practical knowledge in various economic sectors. The average students of the Polytechnic now have a unique way to influence positive attitude in collective objectives.
They (Polytechnic Students) DON'T SHAMEFULLY CALL-OUT/DEGRADE THEIR LEADERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA - they cherish true 'Value' and 'Personality'. Unfortunately, it's now a norm among students of the University of Ibadan to insensitively attack leaders/themselves particularly on facebook thus losing-out on building a enviable image brand among its peers.

These are just some of the indicators used to ascertain the recent poll of rating The Polytechnic Ibadan above University of Ibadan.
As highlighted in the early paragraphs of this piece, this is a poll survey and we would like to get your views on this issue...

Here's 5 REASONS Online (Media) Protest Isn't Any Better!

It is safe to say that protests are inevitable in any society particularly when things are not going too well for majority of the citizens. It's understandable, and such protests are lawful too. Notably, online protests are well acknowledged in developed nations at effecting swift and reliable influence on constitutional decisions by government authorities. However with comparison to similar bigger nations like Nigeria, South Africa, there seem to be unstable struggle to achieving a united objective via social media platforms.

We have noticed some supposed 'influential' online activists spear-heading protests via facebook, twitter, google+; the likes of Seun Fakuade, Japheth Omojuwa, but they have all FAILED CONSIDERABLY to justify the high level of confidence remarked on them. Instead they (online activists) ironically prefer to lip-sing major protests in-order to get public sympathy. The New Media, of which the social media is an integral part, is a proven platform for effective real-time interactions that adequately project the needed impact in smaller communities as well as larger societies. And you might want to ask the question - why are we in thi part of the world not getting the desired results in online public protests? The last noticeable online protest on #NoToChildBride coordinated by Omojuwa and his allies could not even gather a quarter of the estimated 10,000votes in its barely 2weeks of campaign. Moving on, here are just 5 simple reasons why some major social media protests, specifically in Nigeria, aren't creating the needed yields: * Young people (followers) have consistently become gullible; * There's practically no desire for research and/or facts-checking before following such protests; * The decepive syndrome of More (twitter) Followers = Influential Personality; * Selfish interests of some online (social media) activists thus manipulating such protests; * Online activism is increasingly polarised by 'Opportunists' and not true 'Democrats'. There you have them. We hope we all can learn from these because we are stakeholders to a progressive society. Let us know what your perception is on the points highlighted. EXCLUSIVE: Acclaimed 46)r Old Nigerian Prostitute Gives Stern Advice...

When I opened my Facebook fan page on Jan 25th 2013, Adetayo Banito and Jumoke Abodunde were one of the FIRST 10 likes. They remember my phone number was there posted for my fans and Tayo called me from Minna all the time to say hello. Since then, several ppl have changed my complete outlook to how I view Nigerians at home. Many public figures and their children never share their info with the public yet I did. My father is the only one that gives entire lecture halls his phone number, he is the one who gets everyone jobs, over 80,000 in his 51 year career. He is the one that paid for his young cousin to go to Lagelu Grammar School when his parents were poor and my dad was appointed the commissioner for Education at 35. Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi followed in my dad's footsteps to become Governor too. Calls came from UK, US even Dubai, then people started calling me names like harlot, prostitute because I wore a bikini to a pool and I educate ppl about breast cancer. Yes I am tough and very verbally abusive but its a trait of my father that got ppl woken up to fix their lives.

I am not a soft leader. To get guns off the streets of Toronto was not an easy job or drugs out of Baltimore. It takes one person to make a difference. I got rid of the phone and turned the SIM card to my kid's data SIM. Many ppl say they want to be able to talk to me again. I have no desire to talk with strangers anymore but my true fans. Many of them are in my personal page. Remember, you cannot get into that page. I choose my friends based on positive activity on my fan page. Yes I want to be President one day but I cannot be everyone's friend. People that believe in me and deposit into my life instead of withdrawing all the time are the ones I need as friends. I don't need anyone's respect. Respect yourselves. I don't follow anyone on twitter except my sponsors and partners and of course GOD. Somehow every Nigerian wants me to follow them back on twitter. Have you thought what that means? Why will I follow you?I don't want to follow what haters are doing, what people that hate Americans, Gays and Lesbians and people who don't know the meaning of human rights are. People that hate the only friends I know in 35 years of my 49 year life. I therefore don't follow anyone on twitter. I just do my job. It's how I make my living. Until Nigerians treat everyone the same, I'm not following HATE.  I have done a lot for you. I have given $10,000 to my fans in 5 years (1.5 million Naira) I think of other people before myself. Therefore to communicate with me on this level is considered lucky. I don't have PA's who update my page. I do it myself. When I have 100,000 fans like my American page 130,000, I will give out my phone number again. the people that have it are privileged. For those banned permanently and begging me on other pages to come back, there won't be coming back. U are the same people over and over again that viciously like writing negative things and after 6 blocks u are done here. Thanks for your interest. Finally I spend a lot of time and integrity on my pages. Pls DO NOT post links in my threads. I will allow it on the wall which I have opened but never distracting my discussions on my threads.Thanks you for visiting my pages.
