Weekend Thoughts: ASUU/FG, SEX/PORN, OBAMA/PUTIN!
Ok people it's the weekend! On this blog this weekend we feature some interesting bits from around the world - those influential issues of common interest, and such need your opinions and views of the citizens.
On the menu there are three (3) issues to get your views on:
** OBAMA / PUTIN:
The recent overtake of US President Barrack Obama by Russia President Vladimir Putin as the 'World's Most Powerful Man' published last week via the Forbes World List has provided sudden controversy among the political trends.
What do you think has/have been responsible for this shift in power dominance? Let's have your views...
** ASUU / FG:
After various consultations between the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and Nigeria's Federal Government over the current ASUU strike in Nigeria, another swift meeting has been scheduled for Monday November 4 2013 for one of such moves to end the strike.
The question is, considering the long period which the current strike has lasted so far (over 100days) - do you think ASUU should conceive to suspend the strike on mere 'fragile' promise by the FG at this moment? Make your comments below...
** SEX / PORN:
In a typical relaionship, more emphasis is shown to the term 'LOVE' over 'SEX' - but this is obviously in theory! In the real world, many people believe that Sex proves more of an influence to making a stable relationship than Love.
Well here's the teaser, do you agree with the acclaimed notion that after MONEY the next big thing is SEX over LOVE? Let's have your commets below...

100Days+ ASUU Strike: NANS Have Failed Students!
Forget the meaning or its objectives, for now all those features count for nothing! Blame no individual for the current misfortune facing Nigerian students, but indeed the collective fault is quite visible.
Unfortunately, the supposed principles that the biggest body of students in the country was built upon have gradually degraded with time.
It is therefore not surprising to observe varying factors of older men still occupying the executive positions within the administrative realm of NANS. With little or no commitment to the greater welfare of the Nigerian students, rather they try to secure their own personal bargains by dinning with the looters and politicians. One could wonder for how long will this embarrassing trend continue...
Unlike how the politicians would remark, "100 days in office"; but in this case it could be re-phrased as "100 days of strike", what has been your assessment of the ongoing strike action embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) due to the non-implementation of agreement signed with the Federal Government in 2009.
Cognizance of the present situation, my opinion, I wouldn't want to blame ASUU for 'fighting' for the future of tertiary education, but the totality of students have failed to critically understand the sacrificial demand this moment portends. Such a pity there hasn't been a convergent voice by students supporting the 'struggle' championed by ASUU. Probably with time, the confused ones will learn and understand.
Let's make this post interactive - share your opinions on the over 100days of ASUU strike, what's your assessment of NANS, ASUU, and the FG?
While the strike continues helplessly...
