#Retro: A Strong Four-Letter Word...

Such significant is its influence in building a lasting impression. One that produces an ease of mind towards further growth in development.
The most populous nation on the black continent has vividly experienced mixed situations in vas areas of its economy - from Agriculture, Health-Care, Finance to Arts, Transportation, Education, Insurance; much have been exploited.

Many controversies were witnessed over the last 12Months particularly in the Political terrain and Showbiz arena. More observers would want to align with the shift-in-focus from the nation's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the new mega party All Progressives Congress (APC), whereas for others they simpy dwell on the controversies that cracked-up on the entertainment scene specifically the sudden surge of nudity & pornography being embraced openly by supposed Nigerian celebrities.
Yet every moment was extremly exciting with the increase in use of social media platforms facilitating rapid propagation of such trends.

Another critical sector which beamed major focus in 2013 was Education. For a large part of 2013, Nigerian students were the observers of the tussle between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government over the latter's unfulfiled pledge of the 1999 agreement reached with ASUU. The academic strike was finally suspended in November.

Perhaps all these occurences and more were duly sustained due to a visible stable presence of the four-letter word!

Despite being in a country where... Boko Haram has reiterated its stance as a terror group, our female celebrities take no shame from sharing nude contents with ease, more discredits trail major awards' events due to ceaseless sentiments, continuous modification of the nation's power grid has failed to improve productive supply,... we find solace as often the character of the average Nigerian constantly recognizing the four-letter word!

It's more than 10years now since then popular music artiste Tony Tetuila made the song "E Go Better", but we are anxiously waiting for that day or period that shines the light at the end of the present dark tunnel.

Do you believe in the four-letter word - HOPE?!
