For the last couple of weeks to the year end 2013, CriticalBlog shall be presenting a run-up of genuine official charts & lists spanning major areas of exploits in the creative, social, political, business, and education sectors across the nation, continent, and the world over.
The official lists/charts are generated by open public votes & opinions as well as observations by reputable critics in related sectors. This makes the presentaion more credible without sentiments or favour.
For today, we beam our analysis on the music industry in Nigeria with regards to existing & new female music artistes rocking the airwaves. The artistes on this list have unfortunately not lived-up to expectations within the last 6months or more despite promo-hype and virtual corporate acknowlegment.
While we notably agree though that the music scene particularly in Nigeria has witnessed some real evolution of more creativity into the art, others could be tagged as "flop" of the moment.
Interestingly these female artistes possess the beauty and probably a little bit of charm, but we all know the music business is much more complex than just being a "pretty face" - it has to be all-inclusive i.e. Beautiful face, great talent, creative genuinety, potential brand, to mention but a few.
